JAMMU, Nov 2: The monthly meeting of All J&K SC and ST Retired Employees Forum was held , here today under the chairmanship of Prof G L Thapa, president of the Forum, for discussing various current issues related to the welfare of the under privileged sections of the society.
While addressing the meeting, Prof G L Thapa, appealed Lt Governor Girish Chander Murmu for protecting various safeguards for the SC and ST communities under the new regime.
On the occasion the Forum also honoured Kuldeep Raj Bhagat, BDC Chairman for Block Bhalwal; Subedar Major (Retd) Ghasita Ram, Sarpanch Marh Panchayat; Vandana, Sarpanch Flora Nagbani Panchayat and Prabh Dayal for their services towards upliftment of the society in general and under privileged in particular, besides impressing upon the locals for putting their wards in Government schools.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by T C Bavouria while the vote of thanks was presented by Amar Nath. The meeting was attended by Paras Ram Banal, H R Founsa, A K Atri, Nagal Mal, Des Raj Bhagat, S D Digra, V D Triyal, Prakash Ram, B L Digra, Kali Dass, Sham Lal, B B Thapa, Baldev Raj and others.
