JAMMU, June 24: A deputation of All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum today met Director School Education (DSE) Jammu, Ravinder Singh and submitted him a memorandum of demands/grievances of ReT cadre.
The deputation was led by State president of the Forum, Vinod Sharma and comprised of executive members. While interacting with DSE Jammu, Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning grievances of ReT cadre.
The main issues which were discussed include regularization of ReT teachers who have acquired qualification from out of State UGC recognized universities as regular candidates, those who have acquired distance mode degrees from out of State UGC recognized central universities and in whose favour the verification has been received from the concerned universities like Pondicherry central university.
He also stressed for regularization of ReTs who have acquired qualification from NIOS, those who have less than 15 students in their school and also of those surplus education volunteers who are working in their schools for last 12 to 14 years and whose files are also lying in DSEJ.
The Forum president also demanded entertainment of degrees acquired by ReTs during the five years ReT period, as due to non entertainment of degrees at the time of their regularization they are still suffering with a huge financial loss.
He also stressed for inclusion of regularized ReT teachers for transfer in transfer melas in all districts, as there is clear cut direction from high court in this regard and these teachers may not be harassed by sending them to their original place of posting.
Besides, issues like streamlining of SSA salary, deputing teachers from Jammu province for B.Ed course through department and provision of SRO 43 to ReT teachers during 5 years ReT period, were also taken up by the deputation.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress all the issues of ReTs in a phased manner.
