JAMMU, Sept 7: The Rotary Club of Jammu City held a teacher’s award ceremony at Shaurya International School to recognize the longest-serving educators for their exceptional commitment to nurturing and inspiring students. The event, held at the school premises, was graced by the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the school, Harinder Mahajan and Sahil Mahajan, alongside Trustee Pooja Mahajan and Miho Mahajan.
The Rotary Club members in attendance included Shivangi Gupta (President), Sanjeev Vaid (Executive Secretary), Robin Mehta (Immediate Past President and District Secretary), Arvind Kotwal (Club Chair Public Image), KK Sharma (Club Chair Vocational Services), Sham K. Sundan (Joint Secretary), Prashant Kahlon (Club Secretary), Prerna Sharma (Club Member), and Jyoti Gupta (Club Chair Environment).
The ceremony honoured teachers with the longest tenure at the school, including Shikha Sharma, Preeti Kour, Monikajeet Kour, Seema Gupta, Sushma Turki, Renuka Kaul, Shallu Chib, Jyotsana Sharma, Ritu Kohli, and Pallavi Mahajan.
Shivangi Gupta highlighted the Rotary Club’s objectives and accomplishments, while Harinder Mahajan emphasized the importance of these awards in acknowledging the profound impact teachers have on students and the community. Dr. Rajesh Gandral, Principal of Shaurya International School, commended the teachers’ role in shaping future generations. The Rotary Club extended heartfelt congratulations to the awardees and expressed gratitude for their unwavering dedication to education.
