Russian navy commander-in-chief to discuss naval drills in India: Defence Ministry

MOSCOW, Aug 20 : Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Moiseev will discuss naval exercises and the exchange of visits of ships during his trip to India, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.

 

The official delegation of the Ministry of Defence, led by Moiseev, arrived in India, where they will hold protocol events with the command staff of the Indian armed forces and navy, visit military shipbuilding enterprises, naval bases and naval educational institutions.

 

“It is planned that during the business talks the parties will discuss the current state and prospects for the development of Russian-Indian cooperation in the naval field. In particular, the parties will discuss a number of issues related to the exchange of visits of ships and military delegations, the conduct of naval exercises and cooperation in the field of military education,” the ministry said in a statement.
