JAMMU, June 29: Continuing with its decade’s old tradition of service to the people on different religious and social occasions of pilgrimages and festivals, Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS), this time also, started langer seva for the pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra.
Sub District Magistrate (SDM) RS Pura Seema Parihar, along with Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha president Romesh Chander Gupta and Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Arun Gupta, inaugurated the langer, in the premises of the Sabha at Shalamar Road, Jammu.
The entire team of the office bearers of JCMS, large number of prominent citizens and heads of various organizations had reached the venue to cheer up the initiative of the Sabha.
Speaking on the occasion, Seema Parihar said that langer seva is a great human service wherein everyone should contribute. The SDM also expressed gratitude to the Sabha for providing space to the administration for setting up of registration counter for the convenience of the visiting pilgrims.
Later, Shivam Prasad (SP Jammu South) also joined the JCMS team in distributing langer among the pilgrims.
Those present on the occasion included Shiv Pratap Gupta (senior vice president), Sanjay Mahajan (general secretary), Subash Gupta, Balbir Gupta (Langer Incharges), Atul Gupta, Surinder Gupta (vice-presidents), C P Gupta (patron), Bhuvneshwar Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Balraj Gupta, ex. Corporator Dinesh Gupta, R C Gupta, Ram Saroop Gupta and Rajneesh Gupta.
