SRINAGAR: Security force on Tuesday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.
Official sources told UNI that following specific information about presence of militants, a joint CASO was launched by Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K police, Army and CRPF at Behama in Bandipora in the morning.
They said despite chilly weather condition, security forces were conducting house-to-house searches in the area. ”Searches were also going in nearby orchards and fields in the area,” they said.
They said so far, no contact has been established with the militants. (AGENCIES)
