KISHTWAR, Aug 24: Seven persons were injured after the vehicle they were on board veered off the road and landed in nearby fields in Tata Pani area of Paddar here today.
Immediately after the accident locals of the area along with Police personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.
The ill fated vehicle was of tempo traveller make bearing registration number JK02AM-9988.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital and all were out of danger as they have received minor injuries. They were identified as Jyoti Devi, wife of Ramesh Kumar, resident of Tikri, Jammu; Rupali Sharma, resident of Patyali Chack, Jammu; Subash Raj, son of Badrinath, resident of Patyali Chack, Jammu; Lakshaman Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar, resident of Tikri, Jammu; Poli Devi, wife of Natha Ram, resident of Patyali Chack, Jammu; Manisha Devi, wife of Barikam Singh, resident of Jammu and Sunil, son of Gorav Singh, resident of Doda.
The ill fated vehicle was on way to Kishtwar from Padder.
Police has registered a case in this regard under the relevant sections of law and started investigations.
