SRINAGAR, Aug 26: In a significant political development for South Kashmir, the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) has welcomed several prominent figures into its fold.
DDC Shopian Raja Waheed, top Gujjar leader Ch Anwar Phambra and prominent social activist Mohammad Altaf Bhat have joined the party, marking a substantial boost for AIP in the region.
The induction of these leaders is expected to enhance AIP’s political presence and influence in South Kashmir. Raja Waheed, known for his leadership role in Shopian, brings considerable local support to the party.
Ch Anwar Phambra, a key Gujjar leader, adds a significant community endorsement, while Mohammad Altaf Bhat’s involvement with civil society adds a broad base of grassroots support.
Chief spokesperson of AIP, Inam Un Nabi, has lauded the contributions of Er Rashid. Inam Un Nabi’s endorsement underscores AIP’s commitment to Rashid’s efforts and highlights the party’s support for his role in regional politics despite his current circumstances.
