JAMMU, Sept 26: Days ahead of the polling in Jammu, Shiv Sena (UBT) today announced selective support to Congress in the last phase of the Assembly elections.
This was announced by State chief Manish Sahni, J&K State head Shiv Sena (UBT), in a press conference held here today.
Addressing the conference, Sahni said, “In order to teach a lesson to BJP, which is bent on dictatorship and arbitrariness the party has decided to support to Congress candidates Raman Bhalla (RS Pura), Taranjit Singh Tony (Jammu Bahu) and Yogesh Sawhney (Jammu East).”
“These Congress leaders have always raised their voice for the interest of Jammu and ground issues like smart meters, property tax, toll plaza, corruption, crime and rising unemployment. The way BJP has behaved with Jammu and Kashmir, it is certain that it will be wiped out and expelled from the politics of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
“It is necessary to show the way out to those who violate the rights of the local people. A glimpse of which was clearly seen in the first two phases and on October 1, the voters have made up their mind to complete the remaining task, October 8 will be a witness to this,” he added.
On this occasion Vice president Balwant Singh and Secretary Rajesh Jandayal were also present.
