JAMMU, Oct 9: Singh Cricket Club trounced Jammu Sports by 7 wickets in Dussehra Cup-Akhnoor’s 3- Matches Series, being played at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, near here today.
Jammu Sports won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Jammu Sports scored 102 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, wherein Mukesh and Vishal made 15 and 14 runs respectively, while Bandral and Tayyab contributed 9 and 8 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Deepak Sharma got 3 wickets, while Rakesh and Sham Singh Langeh shared 2 wickets each and Abhishek clinched 1 wicket.
In reply, Singh CC Akhnoor chased the target in 12.1 overs by losing only 3 wickets and registered 7 wickets win over the Jammu Sports, in which Anshu made 28 runs, while Shindi scored 25 runs and Rahul Manni and Suresh Malhotra contributed 19 and 14 runs respectively to the total. From the bowling side, Koushal, Tayyab and Harshit shared 1 wicket each.
Deepak Sharma was declared as man of the match, while Sunil Gappa, Rakesh Sharma and Smile Chib were umpires and Amit Langeh acted as scorer.
The 3-Matches Series (Dussehra Cup) is being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor in collaboration with Jammu Sports under the overall supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh (President Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor).
