JAMMU, May 18: The Tax Bar Association, Jammu, today elected its office bearers for the term 2024-26.
The election was conducted today under the supervision of Election Officer Advocate Pawan Sharma at the Excise and Taxation Complex, Panama Chowk, Jammu.
Advocates Nitin Sharma and Bharat Kashyap assisted in overseeing the election process.
Out of the ten candidates who filed nominations for various posts, five withdrew their candidacies. Consequently, the remaining candidates were declared winners unopposed by the Election Officer.
As per a statement, Advocate Vikas Chopra was declared President, Advocate Rajinder Kumar Sharma and Advocate Bageshwar Khajuria as Vice-Presidents, Advocate Gourav Arora as General Secretary, and Advocate Ujwal Gupta as Joint Secretary-cum-Treasurer.
The BAR members honored the new team and expressed their hope that the office bearers will work towards the betterment and upliftment of the Tax Bar Association Jammu.
